1. The IMEI on your phone stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. The IMEI is a unique 15 or 17 digit code used to identify an individual GSM mobile telephone to a mobile network. The IMEI can be displayed on most phones by keying in *#06# and the 15 or 17 digit unique code will be displayed on the screen. It is also usually printed on the back of the device, usually on the compliance plate under the battery compartment. The IMEI numerical format is: 123456-00-123456-0-00 or 12345600123456000.
